Comply Noise-Blocking Replacement Tips

Comply canal tips

About the Canal Tip Foam
The most important element of your new Trick Audio earphones is the Canal Tip. This is because when properly inserted, the tip acts as a barrier to external noise. Proper insertion will also help keep the tip properly seated for maximum comfort even during strenuous activity.

The tip is made of a special material that is very soft (3 times softer than human skin) so it will not irritate your ear, even when worn for long time periods. The material will also compress when rolled between your fingers, which makes it easy to insert into your ear canal. And once the material is exposed to the warmth of your body within the ear, it will expand to make a seal that blocks out the outside noise. And since this material is flexible, it will remain in place when you move your head and jaw while talking, eating or laughing!

Ear Hygiene
To maintain a high level of ear hygiene, change the Canal Tip when it is dirty, or every month, whichever comes first.

Do not use Canal Tips that have been in another person’s ear and do not switch tips between your ears.

Precautions:

  • These earphones are designed exclusively for Comply brand Canal Tips with threaded post.
  • Do not swallow any part of the TA-100 earphone or Canal Tip.
  • Keep TA-100 Earphones and Canal Tips out of small children’s reach as they may be a possible choking hazard.
  • Avoid over-tightening the Canal Tip on the earphone threaded post. Over tightening may cause the tip to become detached and remain inserted in the ear canal when the earphone is removed.
  • Do not use the same Canal Tip in different ears.
  • Do not wash Canal Tips. Cleaning products can damage the Canal Tip.
U.S. Army helicopter applicationsThese tips are made of viscoelastic foam that has been scientifically proven by the U.S. Army to offer the highest level of ambient noise blocking hearing protection compared with any other technology. As a result, these foam tips have been used for hundreds of thousands of hours in military helicopter applications.

TA-100 Noise Blocking EarphonesTwo sizes of tips are provided with the earphones (Slim and Standard shown) so that the best fit can be identified. Replacement tips can be purchased directly from Trick or from authorized dealers.

Attaching new Comply Canal TipChanging the Canal Tip is as simple as unscrewing the old tip and screwing on the new tip. Just slightly push the new Canal Tip onto the threaded post located on the earphone and gently screw on the Canal Tip until it fits snug against the earphone.

Inserting the Earphone with the Canal Tip attached requires just a little practice.

Preparing canal tip for ear insertionStep 1. Hold the earphone for the right ear (marked with the letter "R") in your right hand as shown. For the left ear, use the left hand. While holding the earphone, squeeze the foam with the tips of your fingers. Try and compress the foam as small as possible then bend the end of the tip toward you.

Inserting canal tip in the earStep 2. Position the earphone for insertion into the ear canal. Pull back on your ear to open the ear canal. Gently insert the Canal Tip until it is positioned completely inside the ear canal and release the ear.

Canal tip viscoelastic foam expands to fit the ear canalStep 3. With the Canal Tip fully inserted into the ear canal, hold the earphone in place for a few seconds, which will give the foam time to react to your body heat and expand fully within the ear canal. If the earphone is not comfortable or does not insert completely into the ear canal, remove the earphone, change to the Slim Canal Tip and try again.
